Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly changed the face of Data Science to the extent that analysis, prediction, and automation of various fields can occur at an advanced level. This review examines the fundamental concepts of AI, such as machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing and its use in combination with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model validation. The recent developments AutoML, big data analytics, generative AI and transformer-based models have expanded the capabilities of AI and have enhanced its efficiency, scalability, and usability. Healthcare, financial, marketing, and scientific applications create specific domains that can be seen to have tangible benefits, whereas the issues of data quality, interpretability, computational needs, and ethical issues have become critical. The directions of future research include transparency, flexibility, ethically friendly AI and incorporation with the latest technologies. On the whole, AI keeps reinventing Data Science and provides disruptive insights and solutions in any industry.
